Built to own, not to rent
Template builders sell you a site you never actually hold — locked to their platform, billed every month, and slower with every plugin. We build the opposite: a site that is yours outright, fast against a real budget, and costs about a dollar a month to run.
You own everything
The source, the domain, the AWS account — all of it in your name. There is no proprietary CMS in the middle and nothing to rent back from us. We build it, then we get out of the way.
The source code
Every line ships to a Git repository in your name — no black box, no proprietary CMS you rent access to. Read it, fork it, hand it to another team. It is plain TypeScript and React, not a builder’s closed format.
The domain and the cloud
Your domain stays registered to you, and the whole site runs in your own AWS account — billed to your card, under your control. We deploy into it; we never hold it hostage between us and your customers.
A clean handoff
You leave with runbooks, infrastructure-as-code, and a repository anyone can deploy from a clean checkout. There is no platform to be locked into and nothing to migrate off later — the exit is built in from day one.
Faster, and it stays fast
Static-first, served from the edge, and held to Core Web Vitals as a budget rather than a hope. No page-builder runtime, no plugin pile-up quietly slowing the site down a release at a time.
Static-first by default
Pages are pre-rendered to plain HTML and served from CloudFront’s edge. There is no server to wake, no database query on the critical path — the browser gets finished markup on the first byte.
A measured performance budget
We hold the build to Core Web Vitals as a budget, not an afterthought: controlled bundle size, self-hosted fonts, and images that never push layout around. Fast on launch day, and still fast a year in.
No plugin bloat
Template builders accrete third-party scripts, trackers, and page-builder runtimes that drag load times down. We ship only what the page needs, so performance does not quietly erode as the site grows.
Cheap to own, not just to buy
A static site on serverless AWS costs about a dollar a month to host — you pay for the traffic you actually get, and almost nothing when it is quiet. A template builder charges the same subscription every month forever, whether anyone visits or not, and the fee is also the lock-in.

Scriptus vs a template builder
The same site, two very different deals. One you keep; one you keep paying for.
Scriptus
Own it- You own the source code, in your own repository
- ~$99 / year to run on your own AWS account
- Real SEO and a measured performance budget
- Clean handoff — extend, move, or leave at any time
A template builder
Rent it- Locked into a proprietary, closed platform
- Monthly subscription fees for as long as the site lives
- Generic templates on shared, unpredictable performance
- Hard to leave — exports are lossy and your data stays put
Own the site, not the subscription
Tell us what you’re building. We’ll reply within two business days with a frank read on scope, shape, and what it would cost to own outright — no platform to lock you in, no recurring fee to escape.
